Abstract
AbstractY123 samples were prepared by a solid state method using BaCO3, BaO2 and Ba(NO3)2 as Ba source under same sintering conditions. The X‐ray patterns, Tc, Jc(77 K), stiffness, room temperature thermopower and lattice parameters were measured for as sintered, underdoped and well oxygenated samples. The results show these parameters are not the same for samples prepared using different Ba sources at different regime, reflecting the effect of Ba source on microstructure of Y123 compound.
