Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree to which educational counselors in Karak governorate possess skills to deal with crises and its relationship to their self-efficacy. The number of study subjects consisted of (149) counselors. It used the descriptive correlation methodology. To achieve the objectives of the study, two scales were developed: the scale of possession of Crises dealing skills, and the scale of self-efficacy, their psychometric properties were verified. The results showed that the level of counselors’ possession of Crisis dealing skills was high, and that their level of self-efficacy was medium. The study results showed that there was a significant correlation relationship between possessing the skills of dealing with crises and self-effecacy. Finally, the study included a number of recommendations among them developing counseling interventional skills to deal with crises for educational counselors.
