Abstract

This study aimed to uncover the degree of self-assessment practice of public school principals in Al-Koura district and its relationship to school performance from the teachers' point of view. The researchers used the correlational descriptive methodology to analyze the data. The sample of the study consisted of (311) teachers who were chosen by the simple random method. The results showed that the degree of self-assessment practice in these schools was large and in all domains, as well as for school performance. The study found a positive correlation between the degree of self-assessment and school performance from the viewpoint of school teachers in Al-Koura District.
