Abstract
SUMMARYIt has been shown that detergents in general are relatively poor fat removal agents from used liners. Alcohols and alcoholic alkalis are more efficient as cleaning agents judged by their power of removing fats and they are generally better than the commonly used aqueous caustic soda solution. Limited farm tests have in general confirmed laboratory test results. Liners are kept in good condition for periods longer than previously obtained when using other cleaning methods.
