Abstract
Measurements have been performed on the direct gamma spectrum and the spectra of the gamma radiations coincident with conversion electrons emitted by 176Ta. Combining these results with the data given by Harmatz et al. it was possible to set up a level scheme in which nearly all the transitions found by the experiments could be placed. This level scheme has been compared with those of neighbouring nuclei and with the results of computations starting from some models for collective motions in nuclei.
