Abstract

In this paper, we studied the damped interaction between a Λ-type three-level atom and a quantized single-mode cavity field, where the cavity field features a damped harmonic oscillator with a time-dependent mass that is described by the so-called Caldirola–Kanai (CK) Hamiltonian. Assuming that, initially, the atom is prepared in a superposition state and the field is prepared in coherent states, the temporal behavior of the atomic population inversion, von Neumann entropy, fidelity and Husimi function Q have been investigated by numerically solving the master equation.
