Abstract

Damage control surgery (DCS) has been shown to improve outcomes in critically injured trauma patients. However, the role of operative time of DCS on outcomes has not been studied in penetrating torso trauma. The objective of our study was to evaluate the association of prolonged operative time and possible complications in penetrating torso trauma patients undergoing DCS.
