Abstract

Abstract In the analytical literature on epistemology of the 1960s and 1970s versions of foundationalism such as sense-data theories and adverbial theories are to be found at the core of the then current debates. But their glory was rather short-lived. Thanks to the fervour and industriousness of its critics, sensory foundationalism withdrew from the limelight of contemporary philosophical discussions.
