Abstract

We employ the Haga's perturbation method to obtain the self-trapping energy and the cyclotron mass of the electron interacting with both bulk longitudinal optical (LO) phonons and surface optical (SO) phonons in some interfaced systems of two semi-infinite polar crystals. Our results show that the bulk LO phonons and SO phonons have different trend of effects on the electron in different states.
