The Current Status, Problems and Countermeasures of Chinese Ocean Economy

Abstract

Since the 1980s, with the rapid development of Chinese ocean economy, ocean is playing an increasingly important role in human's sustainable development, and therefore make reasonable utilization of the ocean has become an important strategic in some maritime states. This paper firstly analyzes the development status of Chinese ocean economy, points out that there exist some troubles in its development process, including the degradation of ocean resources and environment, the low optimize level of ocean industries, unbalanced regional development and so forth, then puts forward several countermeasures and recommendations.
