Abstract
The main results of the activity of the fisheries industry of the Russian Federation in 2021 and 2022 are considered. The volumes of extraction, production of aquaculture products, mariculture, processing, etc. are shown. It is emphasized that the increase in the volume of commercial aquaculture production is due to the increasing demand and the related interest of entrepreneurs in carrying out activities in the field of commercial aquaculture. In the prospects up to 2030, a targeted increase in the production of industry products is expected. Further increase in the volume of catch from natural reservoirs. Much attention is also paid to the production of marine and freshwater aquaculture products. Currently, there is an equalization of the production volumes of fish caught and grown in aquaculture products in the global fish production, therefore, further increase in the production volumes of the industry in our country is impossible without the development of this segment. It is necessary to increase the attractiveness of the industry for employees, increase the number of students, and stimulate professional development with modern personnel.
