Abstract

As a new type of micro entrepreneurship model, online live streaming has been widely favored by college students. The popularity of college students participating in online live streaming is high, but the number of college students engaging in live streaming micro entrepreneurship is very small. In order to understand the real situation of college students using online live streaming platforms for micro entrepreneurship, this article investigates and analyzes the current situation of 1380 college students using online live streaming platforms for micro entrepreneurship in 9 universities in Guangdong Province. Through investigation, it was found that the entry threshold is low but the success rate is low. Students lack relevant support for live streaming practice. The chaos in the live streaming industry affects the values of college students’ live streaming. Insufficient industry regulation and other issues have affected the willingness of college students to engage in live streaming micro entrepreneurship.
