Abstract

This study is the first attempt to comprehend and generalize the museum practices existing in Russia. The study is aimed completely at veterans or implemented with their direct participation. The experience of museums of various types, selected with a wide geographical spread, is examined. The revealed features of interacting with veterans expand the understanding of memory preservation mechanisms, and also complement the idea of museum’s projects in which people with reduced mobility are involved.
