Abstract

The phase diagram of the quasi-ternary Cu 2Se–HgSe–In 2Se 3 system at 670 K was studied by X-ray diffraction and metallography. We defined regions of solid solubility of the components and the ternary phases. The existence of a new quaternary phase with the composition ∼Cu 1.4HgIn 16.6Se 26.6 has been discovered. A single crystal from the β-solid solution region of HgSe has been grown.
