Abstract
Using Mo K alpha x rays and a precession camera, the crystals were found to be hexagonal with a = 9.92 plus or minus 0.02 and c = 6.33 plus or minus 0.02 A. With two Ce/sub 7/Ni/sub 3/ per unit cell the calculated density is 7.12 g cm/sup -3/. The space group is P6/sub 3/mc, P62c/mmc, or P62c. For intensity data, sets of timed exposures for each of the levels hOl, hhl, and h1l were made with a precession camera and Mo K alpha radiation. Results of the least squares calculated, observed and calculated structure factors, and the interatomic distances are tabulated. (P.C.H.)
