Abstract
The Cryogenic Forevacuum System (CFV) of the JET Active Gas Handling System is designed to collect gas mixtures from the torus and injection systems. The CFV separates hydrogen isotope mixtures from helium and impurities and stores isotope mixtures for separation. All crucial process elements are located in all-metal secondary containments. Prototype test on accumulation panels have shown the capability of pumping hydrogen/helium/impurity mixtures.
