Abstract

Due to the global warming, massive aridization is observed in the Transbaikal territory, including Buryatia, as a result, agriculture is forced to function under conditions of a strict limit of atmospheric and soil moisture. In spring and early summer, the potential evaporation here is 3-5 times higher than the amount of rainfalls, which leads to crop shortages and to a harvest failure. Thus, it is necessary to use irrigation reclamation for the effective management of agricultural production in this territory. This work researches the manifestation of soil drought in alluvial meadow soil. The study of the effect of various doses of mineral fertilizers and maintenance of soil moisture at the lowest moisture level at 70% LMC and 80% LMC showed that maximum yield and minimum water consumption coefficient are provided by maintaining soil moisture above 80% LMC and fertilization with a doubled dose of nitrogen.
