Abstract

This research was conducted in Semarang City, in the northern part of Banyumanik District, including six sub-districts: Srondol Wetan, Srondol Kulon, Sumurboto, Pedalangan, Tinjomoyo, and Ngesrep, to map the critical condition of infiltration zone in the research area. This research aims to map the critical level of the infiltration area in the research area that can be used as a reference in policymaking regarding groundwater conservation and disaster mitigation in the research area. The primary data used were soil and rock samples, with secondary data such as regional geological maps, land use maps, slope maps, and soil permeability maps used to support the primary data obtained in the field. The data were then processed using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method with parameters such as soil grain size, soil permeability, land use, lithology, slope, and density of geological structures. Based on the calculations, the research area could be divided into criticality classes of infiltration: Very Critical, Critical, Moderately Critical, Starting to be Critical, Naturally Normal, and Good.
