Abstract

The critical jet flow regime is investigated on the basis of the equations for the Reynolds stresses, the boundary layer equations and the elements of the theory of thermal explosion. The results of calculating the transition Reynolds numbers for plane and axisymmetric jets and for wake flows are compared with the theoretical values obtained by other methods and with the data of experimental research.
