Abstract
This technical note addresses a method to increase the height of the posterior maxilla using a crestal window approach. This approach decreases the need for use of the lateral window approach and provides clinicians with an alternative with less morbidity. An island of crestal bone is mobilized superiorly and the site is grafted, resulting in 4 to 10mm of vertical bone augmentation in a thin crest. A small case series is presented with implants integrated into these grafts.
