Abstract
The internal luminescence under pressure of Cr 2+ in GaAs is studied theoretically using the multiplet method. The results agree with the experimental values obtained by Zigone et al concerning an important modification of the spectra occuring arrund 4.0 GPa, interpreted as an evidence for the crossing of the 5E and 1A 1 states.
