The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) is a multilateral treaty adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 16 December 1966. This paper will discuss how the Philippines have been implementing the ICESCR. An introductory concept of economic and social rights will be discussed as well as the framework which covers the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).There will also be a discussion of the pertinent provisions of the ICESCR and related legislative measures duly enacted by the Philippines.
