Abstract
This article briefly reviews the epidemiology and clinical features of bulimia nervosa and then focuses on course and outcome. Recovery rates among different studies are reviewed. Although significant differences exist among outcome studies, outcome appears to be best characterized by remission and relapse. Comorbidity of other psychiatric disorders with bulimia nervosa is reviewed.
