Abstract
In a previous paper1), it has been shown how the coupling between two parallel dielectric fibers could be described with a system of differential equations, derived from a reciprocity theorem. It was mentioned how the coefficients of these equations could be calculated exactly. The object of the present work. is to obtain analytic expressions for the coefficients. Further, the basic system will be discussed passing to the normal mode form. Finally, a numerical study for a particular mode will be presented.
