The layout of COSY, the cooler synchrotron and storage ring at Julich, is presented. Together with the most important design considerations, an overview of the actual scheme and realization status is presented. Details on the upgrading of the injector cyclotron and the injection and extraction beamlines are given. The machine and beam parameters are shown. >
