Abstract

Cooperative education ("sandwich" course work) has been offered by the University of Bath and its antecedent institution in twenty different subjects for the last twenty-five years. Since 1974, a detailed, computer-based resource allocation procedure has been used. This is described in outline and is used as the basis for a cost comparison between fully-time and sandwich degree courses.
