Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to know the correlation between goal orientation and impostor phenomenon with academic anxiety, (2) to know the correlation between goal orientation and academic anxiety and (3) to know the correlation between impostor phenomenon with academic anxiety. This study used a sample of 179 students with three instruments: goal orientation scale, impostor phenomenon scale and academic anxiety scale. The scale is distributed online. Hypothesis test results indicate that there is a strong enough correlation (R = 0.586) and the contribution of goal orientation and impostor phenomenon with academic anxiety of 34.3%, there is a significant relationship between goal orientation and academic anxiety, and there is a significant relationship between impostor phenomenon and anxiety academic. Goal orientation gives an effective contribution of 13.3% and a relative contribution of 38.7% in academic anxiety. Impostor phenomenon provides an effective contribution of 21% and a relative contribution of 61.3% to academic anxiety
