Abstract

An investigation of the two-point autocorrelation function of cD clusters is presented. As the identification of cD galaxies is not likely to be affected by possible projection contamination that may exist in cluster catalogs, their clustering properties can provide an important, independent check of the influence of systematic errors in the cluster identification process on determinations of the cluster-cluster function. The clustering of cD clusters described by the spatial and angular two-point autocorrelation functions is found to be quite similar to that of Abell clusters in general. 65 refs.
