Abstract

This research is to study the correlation between the use of English language for business communication and applying English language in e-Commerce of the students in Thailand. The sample group consisted of fourth year students studying in the Departments of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Science, major in English Language for Communication. The random search of 382 students is done by stratifying sample, having types of institutions of higher education as stratified criteria, from Krejce and Morgan chart. Tools used are questionnaires, statistic is by mean, t-Test, pearson’s simple correlation moment product. It is found from the findings that 1) The levels of using English language for business communication of the students are at a high level 2) The levels of applying the English language in e-Commerce of the Thai students are at a high level 3) There is no different in the levels of competency in using the English language for business communication of the students in the government institution of higher education or the private institution of higher education 4) There is no different in the level of competency of the students in the government institution of higher education or the private institution of higher education in applying the use of English language in e-Commerce and 5) Overall, there is a correlation between using English language for business communication and applying the English language in e-Commerce of the Thai students at a moderate level, with statistic significant at .01 and correlation coefficient at .563.
