Abstract

Equations proposed by Martin, Kapoor, and Shinn, by Goodwin, and by Wagner for representation of the vapour pressures of liquids were found to fit data for 22 compounds within the experimental errors. The accuracy of interpolation by means of the equation with the fewest coefficients was investigated with a view to its use for estimating the vapour pressures of compounds for which the data are incomplete.
