Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify the importance of coordination between governmental and non-governmental organizations in dealing with problems experienced by young drug users. And identify the coordination mechanisms used between them, determine the nature of coordination between these organizations when dealing with problems experienced by young drug abusers, and to identify the obsticals preventing governmental and non-governmental organizations from achieving their goals. The study community consisted of 64 employees of governmental and non-governmental organizations in the governorates of Cairo and Giza in Egypt. The study revealed the following results: that the general average of the nature of coordination between governmental and non-governmental organizations, as determined by officials of government organizations ,high, and reflects the knowledge of government and non-governmental organizations the coordination that is achieved by thein achieving the goals ,The general average of the nature of coordination between governmental and non-governmental organizations as determined by officials and employees of non-governmental , is also high. This means are concerned with the decisions that are made between governmental organizations and their importance to achieve the desired goal. The results of the study showed no statistically significant differences between governmental and non-governmental organizations in practice.
