The Conway Circle Theorem: Equivalence and Generalization

Abstract

Summary The elegant and surprising Conway Circle Theorem (CCT) for triangles has become more widely known following the death of its discoverer John Horton Conway (1938–2020). The logical equivalence of the CCT and the well-known triangle incircle tangent length formulas is demonstrated, thereby also providing an alternative proof of the CCT. The CCT is then generalized for tangential polygons.
