Abstract

In this article, we have described the design of the switched-reluctance electric drive of spinning machine dosing pumps. Yarn quality parameters are given. The main parameter is a yarn linear density. The block diagram of the automated drive is given; the use of reluctance motor is justified. We have elaborated the low-speed engine design (100 rpm). The control system establishes and maintains motor speed that provides the required dosing pump feed depending on the given linear density. The functional diagram of the spinning machine is described. The description of the chosen system of the yarn quality monitoring sensors is given. A point strain gauge is used to measure the weight of fiber in the process of winding. Networked sensors and counters with its own IP-address are appropriate to use at the control and monitoring overall line. Electric drive control is performed by dedicated device based on the high-speed microcontroller equipped with a storage base, display, and control and documentation system.
