Abstract

The paper presents theoretical and experimental materials aimed at solving one of the main problems of modern metacognitivism: the question of the existence of independent content in the main metacognitive processes, as well as its specificity in relation to cognitive processes. The main result of the considered experimental results is the substantiation of a positive solution to this issue and proof that additional procedural content is generated in the main metacognitive process - meta-thinking. It is shown that the meaning and functional purpose of this content is to expand the resource capabilities of the cognitive subsystem of the psyche. The determinative role of synergetic effects of the organization of basic mental operations in relation to the individual measure of the development of meta-thinking is revealed.
