Abstract
Sardar Patel is one of the most foremost figures in the annals of the Indian national movement. Due to his versatile personality he made many fold contribution to the national causes during the struggle for freedom. The great achievement of Vallabhbhai Patel is his successful completion of various satyagraha movements, particularly the Satyagraha at Kheda which made him a popular leader among the people and at Bardoli which earned him the coveted title of “Sardar” and him an idol for subsequent movements and developments in the Indian National struggle. The role of Sardar Patel in constructive activities are admirable. The present study focuses on the great achievement of Sardar Patel in the fields of social, educational and women empowerment. I used analytical, descriptive and historical method to complete my work.
