At present, ideological and political education in my country's colleges and universities still has problems such as idealization, insufficient effectiveness, poor pertinence, and unclear content levels. According to the group characteristics of college students in my country in the new century and the actual status of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, the fundamental goal of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is to promote its all-round development, and the realistic goal is to enhance their enthusiasm, initiative and creativity. Work should be political and democratic. The fundamental principles of equality and the combination of virtuality and reality focus on the use of fundamental methods such as theoretical indoctrination, practical exercise, educating through the Internet, and network edification. The content of education focuses on strengthening the education of political, moral, employment, mental health, and creativity.
