Abstract Observations obtained at Yerkes Observatory of the 8-3 and 9 OH bands in the night airglow show that the observed rotational constants B6 and B6 and the splitting constants Y8 and Y9 differ markedl> from those extrapolated from laboratory determinations with v < 6. Other observations in the literature have also been reduced to obtain constants for V = 7, 8, and 9.
