Abstract

A submerged nonswirling jet of a viscous incompressible fluid issuing from an orifice is considered under the boundary layer approximation. A connection of an unknown constant in the second term of the inverse coordinate expansion of a jet far field with a velocity profile at the orifice is obtained using the conservation law.
