Abstract

Dr. Hai Qian earned his BS and MS in chemistry at Nankai University, where he worked with Prof. Yu Liu on supramolecular polymers. In 2012, he moved to the US and worked under the guidance of Prof. Ivan Aprahamian at Dartmouth College for his PhD, during which he was focused on the development of hydrazone-based switches, fluorophores, and adaptive materials. He is currently a postdoctoral research associate in Prof. Jeffrey Moore's lab, where he develops retrograde reactions for sustainable energy storage and also investigates force as a means to trigger a variety of productive mechanochemical transformations.
