Abstract
The authors report evidence for a conductivity threshold for superconductivity in copper oxide systems. For samples with an electrical conductivity below this threshold, no superconducting transition is observed. They discuss a possible explanation for this threshold based on the combined effects of localization and strong correlations between charge carriers.
