Abstract

The article shows the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the rehabilitation area (physical therapy, ergotherapy, speech and language therapy, physical therapist, ergotherapist) by analyzing the legislative framework and scientific sources. This analysis showed the multidirectionality of the directions of rehabilitation. Different specialists do separate rehabilitation tasks for physical therapy and separately for occupational therapy. This approach contributes to a high-quality rehabilitation process for patients (recovery from injuries – it is doing physical therapists, or acute diseases – stroke – it is doing occupational therapists).The terminological aspects in the rehabilitation area at different educational levels are formulated: physical therapy, ergotherapy, training of physical therapists, occupational therapists at the bachelor’s level, training of physical therapists, occupational therapists at the master’s level.In the structure of the training of rehabilitation specialists, the directions of rehabilitation are highlighted (227.1Physical therapy; 227.2 Ergotherapy; 227.3 Speech and language therapy), which allows universities to focus and specify the training of these specialists at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. Namely, the focus is on professional competencies for occupational therapists and physical therapists. And also, in accordance with the legislative framework, directs the professional direction of the work of physical therapists, occupational therapists and future – speech and language therapists.
