Abstract

The Soviet period in Russian history causes extremely ambiguous judgments, assessments and discussions in the modern scientific community. They concern, for the most part, the general aspects of the existence of Soviet society and the state, the role of the USSR in world history, the achievements of the Soviet economy, science, culture, wars, the problems of the Gulag system, etc. The historical and cultural environment today is becoming a key concept of modern society and is not a separate area of state regulation, but a complex multi-level system. Historical components are the basis for the development of society in the modern world. In the field of preserving the memory of the past, stability and continuity can be achieved through the potential of historical memory and successful coordination of activities.
