Abstract
The motive of racial inequality has always been displayed in fantasy, only for over the past few decades, he began to identify himself with the “problem.” Yaroslav Gzhendovich did not avoid this question, having considered it from a new angle in the novels of the cycle “Lord of the Ice Garden”. So, the goal of our scientific intelligence is to analyze the problem of racial inequality in the works of the Polish author. Research methods: sociological, genealogical, descriptive. Scientific novelty. Since the concept of racial discrimination has not previously been explored using the example of Yaroslav Gzhendovich, the topic represents a scientific novelty, while simultaneously giving an impetus to future research. Findings. Having considered a series of novels, "Lord of the Ice Garden" we determined that the concept of racial inequality, which is present in the works, is significantly different from the one that was presented in fantasy before. In addition to the lack of canonical fantasy features, the difference is in mapping the problem through the prism of the phenomenon of colonization, bringing the fantasy literature closer to the real society and its problems.
