Abstract
The article aims to elucidate the concept and delineate the key features of the principles governing the legal regulation of social security, particularly within the evolving framework of civil society in Ukraine. Drawing upon a comprehensive analysis of scholarly approaches to understanding the "principles of law”, as well as by defining the specific characteristics of principles that govern the legal regulation of social security, this article outlines the concept of "principles of legal regulation of social security in the context of the development of civil society". The author suggests that these principles should be understood as objective patterns encapsulated in foundational ideas. These ideas carry imperative requirements for the regulatory framework, which aims to maintain social security through the involvement of civil society actors. This approach enables the construction of a coherent and equitable legal system, as well as the maintenance of law and order in the social domain. The principles guiding the legal regulation of social security in the context of civil society development possess distinct characteristics. These principles are both fundamental and directive, serving to orient the rule-making process toward embodying the essence of law and reflecting societal values and ideals. The principles in question guide the ideological underpinnings of the rule-making process and codify social values into legal terms based on theoretical understanding. Moreover, these principles are imperative and normative in character when it comes to the legal regulation of social security within the evolving framework of civil society. The conclusions of the article summarize the socio-legal significance of the principles of legal regulation of social security in the context of the development of the concept of civil society.
