Abstract

Core-like radial inhomogeneities rather than axial striations or cells were shown to be the source of extra dislocation modifying the substructure of high purity Mo single crystals when doped with Ir in the range of 0.01 to 1.5 at%. From this result the observed non-monotonic dependence of perfection on mean Ir concentration can be explained.
