Abstract

In this study, we discussed two methods of CGH. These methods are based on the equations of digital holography reconstruction using Fresnel approximation or convolution transform. Particle holograms and some complex holograms were numerically simulated using these methods. The relationship between the quality of holograms and some important parameters (image size, object distance) was obtained. The results show that the Fresnel method has acceptable quality of reconstruction image and fast computing speed, but the resolution and the size of hologram changes with the object distance. On the other hand, the convolution method has better quality of reconstruction image and slow computing speed, but the resolution and the size of hologram doesn't change with the object distance. Using a small size of image and a high-powered computer, the computing speed can be tolerable. Based on these results, we can conclude that the convolution method is better way for CGH.
