Abstract
An analytical study has been made of gum exudates from four specimens of Sesbania sesban (Family Leguminosae); Sesbania sesban var. nubica and Sesbania grandiflora. They are strongly dextrorotatory, acidic arabinogalactans and give strongly coloured solution of low viscosity comparable to gum talha ( Acacia seyal).
