Abstract
Polar Kerr rotation, magneto-circular dichroism and reflectivity were measured on optical clean surfaces of 30–80% Ni–Fe alloy plates in the energy range 0.5–3.5 eV. The diagonal and non-diagonal components of the dielectric function tensor, ε xx and ε xy , were calculated from experimental values. The energy dependence of ε was analyzed by intraband effects.
