Abstract
Objective To investigate the complication and preventative methods in anastomosis of lacrimal canaliculus laceration. Methods The types and the cause of the complication afier lacrimal canaliculus laceration anastomosis on 14 eyes of 14 cases were analyzed.The technical improvement of the surgery was discussed for preventing the complication. Results The anastomotic rupture, stent dislodgement, lacrimal ductule rupture, lower eyelid ectropin were the major complications after lacrimal ductule laceration anastomosis.Inexactly contrapuntal suture and intraoperative epidural catheter fixed firmly were the main cause of complications. Conclusion Finding the broken end and accurate anastomosis is the key points to repair lacrimal canaliculus laceration.Epidural catheter firmly fixed and strengthen follow-up are important measures for reducing complications.
