Abstract

AbstractAs is the case with H3PO4 and HClO4, H2SeO3 and HClO4 react with each other to form a compound of the composition H2SeO3. HClO4. Its behaviour on electrolysis of its solution in CH3NO2 leads to the formulation [Se(OH)3]+.ClO4−.The crystal system of both the compounds mentioned was determined. We could not elucidate their crystal structure and no substances isomorphous with them were found. Their heat of solution in water was determined and the conductivity of their solutions in CH3NO2 was compared with that of some other perchlorates.
